The Rainbow Forest
~'Oh but what a relief!', thought Betty-Joe. On the one hand, her little man was striking out on his own...but atleast he gotten far. She found him in what her little Carlos called 'The Dark Magic Rame-bo Forest'. "Sleep well, my tired little Journeyman.", she whispered, laying his favourite shawl upon him. Our disheveled young Mother quietly beheld this magic moment, in awe, all alone-save for the company of the Night Watchman-one Captain Keats who never slept on account of a special condition: black eyes that Never closed! As She adjusted the shawl, a look of gratitude passed betwixt her and the stoic Captain. Betty-Joe attempted to sleep on the couch that night. But she was transfixed by her little Carlos. How could something so small, and sleeping so still, grow up so heartbreakingly fast before her very eyes...~
