Sycamore Sorcery
Sycamore Sorcery
I cannot overstate my love for sycamore trees! Little known fact - before I settled on the name ‘Ghost in the Gaslight’, I had a placeholder of ‘Gaslight and Sycamore’. When I was growing up there was a towering such Sycamore. I used to approach it and look up in awe. Any of them that I see take me back to that giant. They seem to dominate the view with their height. Their boughs attain a thickness that stands out especially with the light pigment of their smooth bark. When the changing of the leaves happen each year they add to the beauty of fall dropping massive golden-brown leaves about the dark earth
Well upon my adventures I came across one such tree and had to create an ink sketch commemorating it. Then before I knew it… a little visitor appeared!
He had a mystical quality about him as his little black glaring ilk do.
